Osteria La BotteGaia - Pistioa, Tuscany

We had lunch at this Osteria on our flying visit to Tuscany and were very glad that we did.  This slow food accredited establishment served very well prepared but simple food with a minimum of fuss.

The biggest revelation of the meal was the extremely simple dishes.  The secondi were assembled from only two main ingredients.  In our dishes it was poached bacalao with chickpeas, and fillet of beef with cannellini beans.  We were left to appreciate the ingredients without flavours being confused.  It was really pretty wonderful.
